What an interesting week we had last week. Little Miss was sick Monday night through Thursday, so we didn't get to see my sister and her family more than just a short time on Monday afternoon. I did, however, get to spend a few wonderful hours with just my sister (she braved our germs and came down for a bit on Friday). We got coffee, did a little shopping and then had lunch. It helped make the disappointment of not seeing her family more a little more bearable (though there were tears on both sides of not getting 'cousin time').
On Wednesday, when we *thought* Bria was all better, we went over to SM Park and 'hiked'. (I thought we were going to enjoythe nice weather by just sitting in it, but apparently I misunderstood.) But the kids were all troopers, especially Bria. They never complained, just asked to take breaks occasionally. We had a good time, though we did pay for it with a setback from Bria the following day.
Needless to say, our Thanksgiving was less than ideal, but God's will is perfect, so I have no business questioning that or the timing of this sickness. Matt took Tyler and Cameron over to his parents' house for dinner and brought back some leftovers for me later. Bria had perked up enough by evening that we went over for a bit after everyone else had gone home.
