Lions and Elephants and Tigers!

Last Saturday we went to the Topeka Zoo. Since my cousin gave us a zoo pass this summer, it will give us a good discount on the area zoos. It was one of my last attempts at getting a May baby instead of a June one. ;) We didn't have any success in bringing the baby here early (though it's still the 31st for a few more hours, I'm not getting my hopes up!), the kids had a wonderful time at the zoo. We really like this zoo, as it is smaller and not as far to walk around, but you also can get closer to the animals, they aren't 'miles' away. :) After we spent some time there (it was a pretty warm day), we went across the parking lot and played at the playground. Then we headed out and had some lunch. The littles all had naps in the car and then they played in our new pool when got home. I think it was a good, but tiring day for all. :)

These were 2 taxidermied lionesses that stopped the kids in their tracks when we turned the corner of the building. It was kinda cool to pet a 'real' lion though.

This was a first for me, seeing the tiger cooling off in the water. Pretty cool to see such a big cat taking a dip.

He LOVED the new pool. Didn't want anything to do with the little frog pool, he wanted to be in with the 'big kids'

My little fishies. It's amazing to me that Bria can be so fearless of the pool, but as soon as water touches her face in the shower, she freaks out. Hm.

No, it isn't a sticker on his head...the boy decided to run down a little hill with things in his hands, tripped and fell flat on his head b/c he wouldn't let go of what he was holding. Fortunately, it was just 2 little cuts from the driveway. I was really thankful for that, as Matt had taken Tyler to soccer practice and I was home by myself with Bria and Cameron.

Getting Tyler's bellybutton...poor Tyler has an 'outie' and anytime his shirt is up, Cameron is trying to pull his bellybutton off. :) It gets lots of laughs and giggles though.
