Busy Grammy

My mom flew in the Tuesday after we brought Derek home from the hospital to spend 2 full weeks with us. What a blessing that was!!! In between playing with the kids and holding Derek, she also did laundry for us (constantly! Even she was amazed at how much laundry is accumulated within days), completely rearranged the kids room, including adding 'fun' things for each of the kids (ie. vinyl wall decals), providing us with storage in their room and the guest room (something our house desperately lacks), painted a new-to-us garage sale dresser, a bookshelf, and recovered 2 glider rocker cushions, as well as helped me re-stain a glider rocker that we bought a few years ago at the church garage sale. Whew. It's hard work keeping up with her!!! She also did the normal things of making cookies, ironing, and washing dishes (our dishwasher decided to die on us the last few days she was here). Today was my first day 'flying solo' and so far, the kids are still in one piece and I'm relatively still sane (though that could probably be debated before I even had kids, so humor me!). Here are the pictures of mom's excellent work (she was disappointed that she didn't get all of her projects done...but I told her there's always next time! ;)

Cameron thoroughly enjoyed all the mommy & Grammy attention he got in the evenings when the other 2 were at VBS hosted by our church. Grammy was driving cars up and down his back and he loved it!!!
