Here are the most notable things about him right now:
*He is becoming more vocal, though still not really speaking many words, he can say "Mommy, Mama, Da-da" He makes a sound in his throat when he has a truck in his hand that sounds like truck, but he hasn't actually said it yet.
*He still loves food, though he seems to enjoy playing with it almost as much as he does eating it! It's not unusual to need several baths a week, especially after he decides to test out his foods as 'hair gel'.
*He's about 24 pounds right now, unoffically of course. His 15 month check up is next week and we'll know how big he really is then. He's definitely stretched out and isn't as 'chubby' as he was.
*He loves to climb up on things...his current favorites are the little chair that my aunt sent us a few years ago, the ottoman by the window, and Tyler & Bria's beds. The laundry basket is also fun, but when that tips over, it scares him a little and he doesn't like it.
*He's somewhat mastered going up and down stairs, at least small indoor ones and the few we have outside. We're still not letting him anywhere near the basement stairs. :)
*He loves to 'smack' bare bellys...and climb on Matt and sit on him when he's lying on the floor. However, he does not like it when daddy starts playing with Tyler & Bria and tickles them (or maybe it's when they try and tackle daddy?)...those are moments when he starts to cry and fuss. :)
*He loves playing with cars and trucks (is he a boy or what?!), especially the ones in the sand table outside. Perhaps he likes playing them because he gets to taste-test the sand too? ;)
*He has started to learn the words "Can you put it back?" and on occasion, when asked to do so, will leave the object there. Most times, however, he will return the object he had and get another one out. :) It's a work in progress, but I think we're starting to make progress on it.
*He's no longer the dark haired baby he was...his hair is much lighter.
